Chances are you would have found him in a mysterious abandoned home, walls yellowed by age and doors teetering precariously on their hinges. Maybe a murder occurred or perhaps a fire. Whatever the case, Todd Bates was on the scene for a singular task: listening for the voices of the dead. Now retired from the field, Todd takes his knowledge gained and shares it with his amazing audience on his radio show Haunted Voices.
Todd’s Passion is and forever will be EVP. Electronic Voice Phenomenon (commonly referred to as “EVP”) are spirit voices captured on a digital or analog recording device that was not heard with the naked ear. For Todd, collecting this specialized evidence of paranormal origin is a life calling. After years of personally investigating the mysteries of EVP and studying under pioneering figures in the field, Sarah Estep, and Jason Snider he took his passion to the internet. Now in its 18th year, Haunted Voices has quickly grown to be one of the oldest paranormal talk shows on the internet today. Todd Bates now owns and operates WLTK-DB Talk Radio, a paranormal talk digital radio station, and broadcasts live and original programming to its ever-growing audience of like-minded people.

Todd Always had a passion for radio and loved every aspect o fit. Back in this time, he was on several radio shows and stations across the globe discussing electronic voice phenomenon, or EVP. It was his newfound love and he took it everywhere he went. Todd started his radio career as a co-host with the amazing Jimmy Lowery. He enjoyed the work so much that he founded his own show called Haunted Voices.

Haunted Voices started out as an EVP based website with daily chats and EVP lessons. Todd instructed many with his EVP lessons and had to reach more people. Haunted Voices radio was born and could reach far more people with its lessons and paranormal interviews.

With the popular show Haunted Voices established, Todd wanted more of the paranormal. He wanted a platform that would welcome all likeminded people to share their stories and messages to others about the paranormal. WLTK-DB (Our Assigned Call letters) was founded and continues to grow!

This is a very deep and introspective look into the life and mind of the author.
Todd has a great Voice that people everywhere love listening to, but the book deals more with the Haunted part of the title.
He tells about the building blocks of his life. His insecurities and fears. His devotion to family and friends. His addictions and faults. His fascination and pursuit of the paranormal as well.
I very much recommend reading the book: The Haunted Voice: From Skeptic to Seeker of the Other Side
It's definitely a cautionary tale, with a lot of hopeful success thrown in.
Hi Todd, I just want to say thank you for the book and I finished the backstory for it and it is amazing very well done. I recommend you all to read this book, It is one of my favorites books to read and Todd did an amazing job putting it all together for him to share and to tell his story about his life, and his life in the paranormal field. Very well written.
I recommend this book to anyone in the paranormal community. His writer's voice is unique. He makes you feel you are in the room with him as he tells his story. You learn about him as a person and an investigator of the paranormal.
This book is very well written and very much keeps the reader engaged. Todd’s authenticity and humble spirit throughout are truly admirable. I highly recommend reading this book!
